"I BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN FEEL GOOD IN YOUR BODY, EVEN IF YOU ARE IN PAIN, EXHAUSTED OR ANXIOUS MOST OF THE TIME." -- SIMONE BRICCI

About Simone

Simone Bricci, Yoga therapist

p1020261“It’s my commitment that you feel good in your body. Let me help you create a healthier body and mind through yoga. You can successfully manage what each day brings with more health, freedom, ease and vitality.”

Simone Bricci, RYT-500, is a living testimonial to the profound healing opportunities provided by yoga and yoga therapy.  Specialized yoga and applying yogic principles to her life healed Simone from chronic pain, anxiety, and depression. Simone’s mission is to bring health, vitality and peace of mind to people from all walks of life whether or not they’ve ever done a triangle pose or visited a yoga studio. She is a certified yoga therapist teaching yoga therapy and meditation since 2013, and master hypnotherapist since 2005.

Yoga is so accessible these days!  But not all yoga is the same.  As a registered yoga therapist and personal development coach with over a decade’s experience, Simone targets clients’ physical and emotional symptoms by creating individual sessions and customized programs for optimal health and well-being, that give results.

Simone came to yoga therapy after she had spent too ignoring warning signals of stress, anxiety and musculoskeletal discomfort (sound familiar?) and experienced a crash.  When Western medicine didn’t help, she got serious about seeking out alternative methods for wellness. Yoga therapy worked where other methods fell short.

Though it didn’t feel like it at the time, Simone believes these challenges were gifts that provided her with the opportunity to recreate her life, transitioning from a corporate career to providing wellness. “It didn’t happen overnight, but soon I discovered incredible changes in my well-being and outlook on life that brought me to a place of vitality and inner peace. As I felt stronger and more grounded, I committed to helping other people feel great in their bodies.”

Simone now lives symptom-free of autoimmune disease.  She continues her own studies with master yoga and spiritual teachers in California, India and Nepal – where she is sometimes honored to teach. Simone is devoted to guiding others to regaining their vitality and peace of mind, and providing hope as a yoga therapist and wellness coach.

Simone looks forward to working with you. Please feel free to contact Simone with any questions you may have about pain relief, meditation, yoga, yoga therapy, hypnotherapy, wellness coaching, Reiki, pranic healing and new, effective ways to deal with this whirlwind we call modern life.

With love,

Simone

  • Turmeric for sciatica pain

Turmeric is a bright orange root used in Ayurveda. You can find it at health food stores.

Turmeric is a potent anti-inflammatory and doesn’t have the side effects of NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). Curcumin, the active compound in turmeric, is also an excellent anti-oxidant and numerous studies have shown it’s anti-carcinogenic.

Increase the anti-inflammatory benefits by combining black pepper with turmeric (or curcumin).  The most effective ratio of turmeric to black pepper is 4:1 (4 parts curcumin to 1 part black pepper).

Meditation benefits are innumerable. Try it and see!

Optimize your happiness by living in the now. This groundbreaking study across 80 countries links the tendency to let the mind wander with unhappiness.

The point of yoga is to still the mind. Regular yoga practice reduces pain and increases strength and flexibility so that the body can sit in meditation without the distraction of physical discomfort. Whether or not we choose meditation as the next step in our yoga practice, meditation really is the ultimate in stilling the mind and reducing stress.

Simone's Method

About my methods for yoga therapy

Combining the traditions of Restorative, Hatha and Viniyoga with a decade’s experience as a personal development coach, Simone guides clients through personalized mind-body wellness programs informed by profound grace and self-acceptance.

Simone’s methodology and approach are based on the Viniyoga lineage of Krishnamacharya as taught by Gary Kraftstow and Michelle Mazur. This modern lineage focuses on yoga as a source for physical, emotional and spiritual healing. Simone also incorporates elements of classical Hatha yoga from the Sivananda lineage, and studies Ayurveda with David Frawley at the American Institute for Ayurvedic Studies.

Did you know that originally yoga was taught only one-on-one between student and teacher? Yoga is a uniquely individual path to balance and health. For this reason Simone rarely teaches group classes, teaching almost exclusively privates.

Each yoga therapy session is tailored to the needs of the client. Asana (postures) are adapted to the client’s physical and emotional needs that day.

In addition to asana the session will likely incorporate prescribed pranayama (breathing). This is because the Vedic traditions teach that all health issues whether physical, emotional or psychological, are caused by energetic blockages in the body. Conscious breath moves prana (energy) through the body resulting in improved mood and health. By combining specifically applied conscious breathing and asanas specific to the clients emotional and physical state, healing occurs more rapidly.

Sessions also make use of Intention. Movement, music, meditation or creative visualization may be used if these forwards the intention of the practitioner.
